On April 14, 1905, Jacob & Helene Jantzen deeded 3 acres of farmland to the Trustees of the Herold Mennonite Church. The church was named for a post office approximately 3 miles NW. It was the idea congregation that each member would be a Herold of the gospel of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
