Aproximately 46 people were originally buried in the cemetery between 1894 and 1948. Most of the remains were eventually exhumed and transported to China. Lee Chue is the one marked grave that remains. In addition to Lee Chue, the remains of one woman and two other men are probably still in the cemetery. The remains of women were not customarily returned to China, and the Japanese invasion of China closed the transportation of male remains in the 1930s.
