The cemetery is a mixture of very old and new stones. There are many broken stones which now lie flat on the ground. Others rest against their pedestals. Many of the oldest stones are covered in black lichens and are extremely difficult to read.

A Confederate soldier and his wife are buried directly behind the church, just to the left of the "cannon ball" markers on the left side of the photo.
