Location: On West Main St (Rte 54) in Carrboro near the intersection with High Street.
Additional information: When this cemetery was revisited in 1996, it was enclosed by a wire fence. This rectangular (52' X 80'6') cemetery contains 42 visible graves, 28 of which have inscribed markers. The remaining 14 graves are marked by rough fieldstones, but 10 are identified. A Weaver Memorial has been placed in a central spot in the cemetery opposite the entrance gate.
It was later recognized that there were slaves buried outside the area enclosed by the fence, and in June 1995 a group placed an appreciative monument just outside the fence in memory of the African-American descent people buried in the cemetery who helped in the development of the Town of Carrboro.
