Mount Hope Mehodist Church Cemetery - Hanover County.

On 4/2/2011 Mt Hope Church brought in a Ground Penetrating Radar company in an attempt to identify who was buried where as markers can move with large trees and erosion over 125 years time. To our surprise we identified the main body of the cemetery was full. We found 102 unmarked and undocumented burial locations in the cemetery. To ensure no burial sites were intruded on in the future on 4/19/11 a church company sponsor obtained and placed a white plain marker on those sites. Over the coming months and likely years we will attempt to id who is buried under these markers.
