Bio

I have been doing genealogy for several years. I do meticulous research and review closely source documents. As a general rule, I do not use information from other family trees without source documents.

PLEASE NOTE: I mainly manage close and extended family memorials.
*** Non-family memorials

*!* Please note regarding adding pictures to my memorials: Please do not post pictures of documents. Instead copy and paste using the "edit" button function under "Other." Tasteful pictures (in my opinion) are of the grave headstone, portrait of the deceased, or formal published obituary. Any other type of picture posted, I will ask the person posting to delete. Thank you for your cooperation.

If you are a close family member and want to manage one of the extended family memorials, please message me through the edit button on the memorial.

About the BIOGRAPHY section of the memorial, this is particularly, but not exclusively, directed to those who are non-family managers of memorials: This is the area to have a listing of family, where they came from and what they did with their life. It is NOT a place for debates over who is and isn't linked to the family, debates over what is or isn't on headstones (headstones have been known to contain errors) or a place for a lengthy copy of census, marital or death records. If you request such source material for the purposes of ascertaining whether the edit you are going to make is accurate, I will supply it; but, it is not appropriate to paste it all into the biography. The place for that info is on Ancestry.com or other genealogical site. If you choose to manage thousands of memorials, it is still your responsibility to make an effort to screen edit requests as appropriate and correct to the person you are managing a memorial for. If you are unable to do that and in a timely manner (3 weeks according to "Find a Grave" policy) then you need to transfer managerial management of your memorials to "Find a Grave" or another consenting "Find a Grave" member. Bottom line: RESPECT the DECEASED and be GRACIOUS and HELPFUL to FAMILY of the DECEASED.

Close family surnames: Freund, Hess, McCulloch, Merriman, Petersen, Walby, Wendt, White.

(Main) extended family surnames: Brendle, Dibbern, Ettenger, Ewert, Fender, Ghriskey, Guderley, Melgaard, Murawski, Osenberg, Peters, Peterson, Phillips, Swottnick, Unrath, Wilson, Wochinski.
