I've been working on my family's history since I was 9 or 10, after interviewing my grandfather about where his side of the family came from. I remember listening to his brothers talking about cousins in Wayne County at one of the family funerals (I was about 4 or 5 at the time), but didn't get fully organized about it until much later. Part of the family is traced back to the early 16th century in Germany. Lots of fun, and I've recently begun linking various cousins together here, to help others sort out the complicated relationships of my family. :
