Bio

I am Vance MARK Shepherd, the youngest son of Berris Greeson Shepherd. My ancestry started with William (Wilhelm) Shaver (Shepherd ) born in 1729, in Germany. He first immigrated to Berk County, Pennsylvania, and later (ca. 1770) moved with his family, to the Alamance Creek area of Orange County, N.C., which would later be named Alamance County! Orange County would later become divided into multiple Counties in Western North Carolina.

I was raised in the former Colonial Log Home of John Ludwig Fogleman and (Granny) Mary "Polly" Garrett. This house was built for Polly between 1800-1825, very close to Beaver Creek, about one mile from "The Church on Beaver Creek" (initially named Der Klap Kirche), which became Brick Church. The German Reformed Members of the Church initially worshipped together with the numerous Lutherans, who in the latter years of the 17th Century, formed Lows Lutheran Church, approx. 2 miles Southwest of Brick Church. Both are located in the Whitsett Community of Guilford County, N.C.

My FAG Contributions are the result of my ongoing research of my family's Genealogical Ancestry. This includes the MANY AREA families of Alamance, Chatham, Forsyth, Guilford, and Randolph Counties, and many throughout the entire U. S. My complete Paternal Ancestry includes many of the Piedmont's area families. A few are -- Shepherd, Shephard, Shepard, May, Garrett, Greeson, Graves, Euliss, Moser, Neese, Ingle, Isley, Ingold, Shoffner, Smith, Foust, Friddle, Wagoner, Phillippie, Clapp (Clap, Clop, Klop), Huffman (Hoffman), Sharp(e), Boon(e), Coble (Kobel), Whitesell (Reitzell), Albright (Albrecht), and Fogleman (Vogelman).

By researching my Maternal Ancestry from Rutherford and Cleveland Counties ---Abernethy, Rollins (Rawlings), Daniel, Doggett, Hamrick, Bedford, Raymond, Tinkham, Browne, Griffin, Queen, & Withrow, I learned in late 2020, of my Descendance from the English Mayflower Passenger Peter Browne 1595-1673, Find A Grave Memorial #162880074. Peter Browne's Ancestry dates back to the Lusignan French Royal Family from the late Ninth Century! Many Lusignans were married members of the Plantagenet Family - the family from which the Tudor Family came! The Tudors are the Royal Family sitting on the Throne of England today !

I started my Family Ancestral searching in 2015 !
I have contributed and edited approximately 2000-2500 relatives, whom I located in the Cemetery listings for Lows Lutheran Church, Brick Reformed, Springwood Presbyterian, Belmont Baptist, Saint Pauls Lutheran , Melancthon Lutheran, Friedens Lutheran, Mount Hope United Church of Christ, and Apples Chapel Christian Church ! Area Public Cemeteries, are the final resting place for many as well, Alamance Memorial Park, Pine Hill Cemetery, Stoners Cemetery, Green Hills Cemetery, Floral Garden Memoral Park, Providence Cemetery, and Guilford Memorial Park!
My Ancestry was so vast, that there many other Ancestral interments
throughout America!
They are now entered into the Website -----www.findagrave.com, connecting them with their parents!

I currently have five of the Ancestral Books written by Rev. D. I. Offman, Lows Lutheran Church Minister from 1922-1940, that are providing me assistance with my on-going editing process! Thanks go to the late Thomas Lee Huffman, Jr., for providing them to me!

Thanks also to Lisa Kobrin, of May Memorial Library, Burlington, NC, for her ongoing assistance! Thanks also to Leeann Brumble of Burlington, for her Genealogical assistance with my Paternal AND Maternal Ancestries. She is a Descendent of the Withrow Family of Rutherford County, NC, AND of our Grandparents of six Generations ago! ------ Jacob Shepherd and Anna Maria, Mary Clapp.

Feel free to contact me with any needed changes you may have, should you discover any errors I may have inadvertently made!
