Bio

I was born in Illinois, raised in IL, FL, RI & IN, (I was a Navy Brat). I have since lived in FL, IN & AZ, MI and now Texas.

I love history of all kinds, especially ancient history (Romans, Greeks, Celts, etc.) About 20 years ago found that my love of research and history could combine to help me "feel" my place in the universe. Researching my genealogy, I have discovered a very exciting and rewarding hobby that borders on obsession. ;) I also volunteer as an indexer for familysearch.org, indexing images of old census, marriage & death records.

What started as just bits and pieces of information, supported by two good sources for my "Kent" and "Rudyard" family history, has become quite a significant legacy for my grandchildren.

I have to thank Mr. Paul Hatcher, who had an overwhelming amount of information about my Garwood ancestors. (He even had me and my siblings listed in his tree!) My Garwood ancestors were Quakers from England who came to America in the late 1600's. They first settled in New Jersey, with some moving on to Virginia & Pennsylvania. My branch ended up in Ohio.

If you think you may have a connection, feel free to email me or comment here. I love finding new cousins! :)
