I have been doing genealogy since about 1963-4 when I was 13-14 years old, am self taught as the craze for genealogy didn't start until the television series Roots hit the airwaves. I grew up in Brown and Nemaha Counties of Kansas where my families have been since the late 1850's, so I do a lot of research in those areas.
