Mrs. May J. Bromley died at her home, 525 South Frederick Street, Saturday afternoon. She was born at Bedford, Iowa, May 26, 1862. She moved to Bickelton, in Klickitat County, Washington, and lived there until coming to Olympia in 1924. She was a gold star mother of World War I and was among those who made the pilgrimage to France, as a guest of the government, in 1933. Her husband, Herrick Bromley, died in 1905. Surviving are two sons, Ted Bromley, Olympia, and Newton Bromley of Bickelton; seven daughters, Mrs. Cora Law and Mrs. Jane Beck of Olympia, Mrs. Minnie Williams, Mabton, Washington; Mrs. Ida Snyder, Yakima; Mrs. Olive Slavin, Yakima, and Mrs. Orill Adder of Salt Lake City; also twenty-three grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren. The funeral service will be held in Mills & Mills chapel this Tuesday afternoon, starting at three o'clock. The Reverend E. R. Scratch, pastor of the Assembly of God Church, will officiate.
