Arie married on 19 February 1915 in his birthtown Ameide to Maria Versluis, who was born in the small agrarian riverdyke town Tienhoven, just northwest of the quite bigger riverdike town Ameide. He is then, like his father, a farmer, residing in Ameide. It's likely that Arie Jr soon succeeded his father Arie Sr on his farm, because in May 1918 his father has become a laborer. But on 1 September 1919 basketmaker Arie Verwolf moved with his wife Maria and their daughter Teuntje, who was born on 7 August 1918 in Tienhoven, from that village Tienhoven to Achterweg 181 in Ameide, where on 16 April 1920 their son Anthonie was born. Very probably they stayed during the rest of their life in Ameide.
