Nada Elizabeth Misner Splitstone, 87, died at 1:10 PM Saturday [Sept. 18, 1982] in Lafayette Home Hospital. She had been a patient in the extended care unit there the past four years. Born and reared at Heath, she had lived at Freemont, MI, from 1912 to 1932, when she returned to the Buck Creek area, where she spent most of her life. In 1920, she was married at Freemont, MI, to Wallace H. Splitstone, who died in 1926.

Mrs. Splitstone had formerly been a cook at the old Palms Restaurant, and also had cooked at various other restaurants. She was a member of Church of the Brethren and Lafayette Arts Association, where she had displayed several of her paintings.

Surviving are a daughter, Catherine (Mrs. Murt) Ward of Lafayette; a son, M.L. Splitstone of San Diego, CA; and four grandchildren.
