Charles Guyer, 71, prominent farmer of four miles west of Wakarusa, in Madison Township , St. Joseph County, died at ten o'clock this morning of paralysis. He is survived by his wife, Ida Strope-Guyer, to whom he was married in 1886; eleven children, Warren and Roscoe Guyer , Mrs. Joseph Flickinger, and Mrs. Glen Geiger, of Wakarusa; Walter Guyer, of Lakeville, Mrs. Charles Loucks, of Mishawaka; Mrs. Jacob Eby, of Osceola; Edna, Florence, Lloyd, and Leighton Guyer, at home, three sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services for Charles Guyer who died yesterday at his home west of Wakarusa, will be held Friday afternoon at 2:15 o'clock at the Christian Church in Wakarusa. The Rev. John Hartman and the Rev. David Hygema will officiate, and burial will be made in the Bremen Cemetery.

Another old friend and readers of the TRIBUNE since it was established has been taken from us. The genial Charley Geyer, aged 71, and a leading Madison township farmer, died at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning at his home, four miles west of Wakarusa, from paralysis. Mr. Geyer was born Madison township, where he spent his entire life. In 1886 he was married to Ida Strope, who survives him, with the following children: Mrs. Joseph Flickinger and Mrs. Glenn Zeiger of the place, Mrs. Jacob Eby of Osceola, Mrs. Chas. Loucks of Mishawaka, Edna, Lloyd, Florence and Leighton Geyer at home, Orrin and Roscoe of this place and Walter Geyer of Lakeville. Four brothers, Jacob and Joseph Geyer of South Bend, David Geyer of Bremen and Edward Geyer of Los Angeles, Calif. Three sisters, Mrs. John Alberts of Mishawaka, Mrs. Levi Hahn of Wakarusa and Mrs. Lydia Miller of Nebraska. Funeral services will be held Friday, 1:30 at the house and at the Christian Church at 2:00. Burial at Bremen.
