Born June 17, 1940, he was the son of the late Felix and Cora Crump Annas. He was a graduate of Granite Falls High School and a retired manager of Jackson Hewitt.
Grady was the founding pastor of True Vine Church of God, where his love for Christ was shown through his love for the church and its members. He served there as Pastor and overseer for 32 years. Along with his passion for God, he also had a passion of sharing the word of God to the youth and music. For over a decade in the mid 1970's and 1980's, one of Grady's visions was realized through a free, annual, week-long summer camp for youth. The camp drew kids from all over the area and was staffed completely by volunteers of the church. For many, the camp is a wonderful memory of Christ's love and the fun times that were had by all. Grady was an encourager, encouraging others to see their fullest potential and then achieve it. His passion for music was passed to his children and grandchildren and any others that had a desire to learn. He was a man of many accomplishments, but would only consider leading souls to Christ as noteworthy. He would never take credit for anything, only saying "It's not me, its God."
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Bill Annas, Doug Annas, Clarence Annas, AD Annas, and Valen Annas, Thad Annas; sisters, Naomi Annas and Mary Beane.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at True Vine Church of God in Granite Falls with Pastor Rick Williams, Pastor Cheryl Stiles and Rev. Shirley Dover officiating.
