Joseph Edward Alldredge, 76, Straight Mountain, Oneonta, died April 22, 2012, at the Floyd E. Tut Fann Veterans Home, Huntsville. Born in Blount County, he was son of Steve and Lorine Lewis Alldredge, both of whom preceded him in death. He was a retired machinist from Culp Smelting & Refinery, a U.S. Air Force Korean War veteran, and a member of Victory Baptist Church. Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by brothers N.C., Tunis, and Drennen Alldredge and sisters Bea Smith, Alvo Dunn, Purna Gray, R.E. Handley, and Elnor Foster. Services were held at 2 p.m. service on April 27 at Valley Chapel Funeral Home. Burial was at Antioch Cemetery with Joshua Ingram, Tyler Ingram, Jared Smith, Blake Ellis, Luke Ellis, Cody Chambers, Ben Sivley, Joe Gray and Roger Foster serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Donny Ingram, Kevin Ellis, and Tim Smith.
