Bertha Tannahill, a native of Norway, a 16-year resident of California, a five year resident of Escondido, and and eight-year resident of Twentynine Palms, died June 2 at Escondido. She was 92.
Tannahill is survived by her three daughters, Marjorie L. Fuller of Escondido, Betty Mae Ellett of Kokomo, Ind. and Geraldine G. Fouts of Hancock, Mich.; a son, James W. Tannahill of Reno, Nev.; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Tannahill retired after 20 years of being self-employed as a seamstress. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Twentynine Palms and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Illinois.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, June 7, at 11 a.m., from the Twentynine Palms Cemetery Chapel in Twentynine Palms, with the Rev. Richard Reed of First Baptist church officiating. Interment will be in the Twentynine Palms Cemetery, Wiefels and Son of Twentynine Palms is in charge of the arrangements.
