RICHARD ALLEN KNEPPER, 69, of 2307 Rockcliff Dr., died Wednesday afternoon at his home. Born in Waynesboro, Pa. he was the son of the late Charles Edward and Mary Edna Fockler Knepper.

He was a member of the First Christian Church of Hagerstown, a member of Morris Frock Post American Legion of Hagerstown, The Fraternal Order of Eagles, and a member of the CPO Elks of Hagerstown. He was also a member of the Knights of Pythias Number 70, a member of the Alsatia Club and Interstate Coin Club, Inc. of Hagerstown. He was active in the National Association of Accountants. He was a retired employe of the First National Bank in Hagerstown and a veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Peyton Knepper; one step-daughter, Mrs. Patricia Snively of Hagerstown; a step-mother, Mrs. May Knepper of Cherry Run, W.Va.; two sisters, Mrs. John Hoffman of Hagerstown, and Mrs. Ruth Remsburg of Braddock Heights; one brother, Charles Fader Knepper of Hagerstown; one half-sister Miss Wanita Knepper of Cherry Run; and one half-brother Buford Knepper of Cherry Run; and two step-grandchildren.

Services were held at the Bast Funeral Home, Boonsboro; burial was in Mountain View Cemetery, Sharpsburg.
