He is survived by a son, Donald of Evanston, Ill., two sisters, Mrs. Harriet Dalmus of Patchogue and Mrs. Ann Bishop of Largo, Fla., and a brother, Richard O. Melzer of Funkstown, Md.

Funeral services were held Friday in Florida. Interment was in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Patchogue, Saturday. Local arrangement were made by the Ruland Funeral Home.
