Obituary - William Melzer, 53 of 108 South Ocean Avenue, Patchogue, died Friday at the Sayville Nursing Home in Sayville, after an extended illness.
Mr. Melzer, who was born in New York City, had been a Patchogue resident for the past nine years.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Melzer, of Patchogue; a daughter, Mrs. John Cee of Patchogue; a son, William J. Melzer of Patchogue; two sisters, Mrs. Ann Bishop of Blue Point and Mrs. H. Dalmus of Patchogue; two brothers, Edward Melzer of New York City and Richard Melzer of Maryland, and one grandchild.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Pettit Funeral home in Patchogue, with the Rev. Carl G. Gernannt, pastor of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church here, officiating, and interment was in Washington Memorial Park, Coram.
