Aaron Frye, 75, a well known and highly esteemed resident of this community, died at his home on Bradford Street Saturday morning, January 18, 1930 at 2:45 o'clock, as the result of a paralytic stroke suffered a few days previous.
Mr. Frye, a resident of Reynoldsville for the past forty-four years, was born in Indiana county April 19th, 1854. He was united in marriage to Miss Martha A. McGaughey, at Dayton, Pa., January 29th, 1878, she having preceded him in death several years ago. Possessing a kind and obliging disposition, a good neighbor and friend, his death has caused profound sorrow. He was a member of the Methodist church and the Loyal Order of Moose.
Two children, Charles Frye, of New Jersey, Mrs. Elizabeth Justham, of this city, and one brother, George Frye, of Indiana county, Pa., survive. Funeral services were held at the late home Monday afternoon, January 20, at 2:00 o'clock with the Rev. D.J. Blasdell, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating. Interment was made in the Reynoldsville cemetery.
