Born in Banks Township,Indiana County;he is reported to have been the son of Samuel Frye & Abi[sic-? Abbi Strassler],as reported by his son,Blair Frye of Rochester Mills. He was a life long resident of the community. He was a Farmer by trade and the husband of Lettie Lytle Frye. He passed away in Grant Township,he was 69 years of age. Burial was made in the Pine Grove Cemetery on October 13th.
