Arthur Dean Larrowe age 85 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Thursday, October 25, 2012 in the Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Larrowe was born in Carroll County, Virginia on February 2, 1927 to E.H. and Susanna Hill Larrowe. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister June Larrowe and brothers Wayne LaRue, Dale LaRue and Howard Larrowe. Mr. Larrowe proudly served his country in the US Army. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Rubie S. Larrowe of Woodlawn, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Jane and Sam Patton; son and daughter-in-law Mike and Nikki Larrowe all of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren Alex and Daniel Larrowe; Katie and Jacob Patton; brothers and sisters-in-law Horace Larrowe of Galax, Virginia; Carroll and Christine Larrowe, Wake and Brenda Larrowe all of Woodlawn, Virginia; sister-in-law Colene Larrowe of Woodlawn, Virginia; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the First Methodist Church with Rev. Richard Gregory officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12 noon until time for the funeral service at the First Methodist Church. Military Rites will be conducted at the church by the Hillsville VFW Post 1115. Flowers will be appreciated or donations may be made to the Woodlawn United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund C/O Carolyn Farmer , 291 Forest Oak Road Woodlawn, Virginia 24381 or to the First Methodist Church P.O. Box 445 Galax, Virginia 24333.
