NATIVE OF RICHMOND DIES
Mrs. Sarah Wirth, 70, Passes Monday After Week's Illness

Mrs. Sarah Priscilla Wirth, 70, widow of the late Jacob Wirth, and lifelong resident of Richmond Township, passed away at 10:00 am Monday, November 17, 1952 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Alvin Nelson, where she had been cared for during a week's illness. Death was attributed to a heart attack.

Sarah Moser was born in Richmond township on July 29, 1882, the daughter of Philip and Sarah Thaler Moser. She was married in Reed City on May 2, 1901, to Jacob Wirth, who died on October 20, 1941. She was a member of the local Evangelical United Brethren Church for many years.

Surviving are 12 children, Howard, at home, Mrs. Esther Burns of Comstock Park, Mrs. Clara Lippard of Otter Lake, Mrs. Mabel Zilka of Gladwin, Mrs. Mary Nelson of Reed City, Mrs. Lucille Coon of Ada, Mrs. Christine Quast and Otto of Hersey, Arthur of LeRoy, Milton and Garfield of Reed City and Donald of Grand Rapids; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a brother, Joseph Moser of Reed City. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister and brother.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Thursday at the McDowell Funeral Home with the Rev. M. R. Jewell, pastor of the Evangelical United Brethren Church, officiating. Interment will be made in Woodland Cemetery.
