Frostburg - Mrs. Anna Belle Whetstone, 69, of 58 Linden Street, died yesterday at her residence following a lingering illness. A native of Hoffman, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Mary (Sleeman) Brode. Mrs. Whetstone was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, the Sodality of the church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the local Moose Lodge. Survivors include her husband, Peter G. Whetstone, two sons, Phillip and Robert Whetstone, both of here; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Michaels, Eckhart, and Mrs. Glenna Kallmyer, Clarysville; five brothers, Phillip, Harold, John and Carl Brode, all of Hoffman, and Jennings Brode, Clarysville, and six grandchildren. The body is at the Durst Funeral Home. A requiem mass will be celebrated tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. at St. Michael's Church and burial will be in Frostburg Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Vincent Engle, William Weimer, Raymond Kallmyer Jr., Glenn Kallmyer, Harry R. Thomas and Harry Thomas. The rosary will be recited today at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
