Larry E. Jamison, 49, of Mifflintown RR2 [Center], died of natural causes at 8:32 p.m. Sunday, May 11, 1997, in the emergency room of Lewistown Hospital.

Born August 28, 1947 in Meiserville, Snyder County, he was a son of Eugene H. Jamison of Locust Grove Retirement Village, HC 67, Mifflin, and the late Susie E. [Benner] Jamison.

His wife, Irene A. [Walton] Jamison, whom he married September 26, 1969, survives. Also surviving are: children, Karen L. Hambright and Wendy S. Dysinger, both of Mifflintown, David E. Jamison, Fort Polk, LA; sisters, Connie L. Liddington, Thompsontown RR1. Mrs. Larry [Bonnie] Burdge, East Waterford RR1; two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria J. Goodling, December 26, 1994 and a brother, Dale R. Jamison, September 11, 1988.

He worked in the paint shop of Dayton Parts Inc., Harrisburg. He was a 1966 graduate of Greenwood High School, Millerstown and was a veteran of Vietnam, having served in the U.S. Army, where he was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for heroism.

Services were held Wednesday, May 14, at Rex Funeral Home, Port Royal, with Rev. Robert E. Taylor, O.S.L. Interment was in Adam's Cemetery, Walker Township, Juniata County. Full military graveside services were conducted by the Juniata County Veterans Council.
