Howard Allison

The death of Howard Allison at 1 o'clock, Thursday afternoon at his home east of the city on State road, removed one of the best known and most highly respected residents of the eastern party of the county. Mr. Allison would have been 71 years old had he lived until January ??. His death occured within a quarter of a mine from the house where he was born. He spent his entire life on the farm. Bright's disease caused his death after about a year's suffering. He was bedfast only a week before death came.

Mr. Allison married Emma Donaldson who survives him with the following children: Royal G., incoming county commissioner. Mrs. Frank Quilliam, of Barr township, Mr. Nellie B. Bailey, of Linton. Two sisters and one brother also survive him. They are Mrs. Belle White of Washington; Mrs. Martha Price of Barr township and Henry Allison of Washington. Mr. Allison was one of the staunch members of the Bethany Christian church.

The funeral services will be held at the Bethany Church Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clocl and burial will be made in the Bethany Cemetery.
