Minerva C. Gessner, 90, of West Mifflin, died Friday, Jan. 22, 2010, in UPMC McKeesport. Born Aug. 31, 1919, in Greensburg, she was a daughter of the late Timothy and Effie (Paden) Sullivan. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Duquesne. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Gessner; three brothers; and three sisters. Surviving are two sons, Charles N. and Kenneth P. Gessner, both of West Mifflin; nieces and nephews; a cousin; and a caregiver. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the TEICHART-GRACAN FUNERAL HOME INC., 212 Wilmot St., Duquesne. Funeral blessing will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home.
