Born Jan. 27, 1926, in Rocky Grove, Lucy was the daughter of the late John and Hattie (Young) Burk.
Lucy was married to William Lepley Sr. on Dec. 21, 1946. He preceded her in death in 1998.
Lucy and Bill owned and operated a bus service for the Franklin and Utica areas for many years. She was a member of Donation Hill Community Bible Church.
She enjoyed bird watching, especially humming birds which she collected. She also enjoyed reading and gardening. She especially loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Lois Ann Lepley, and Lucy Ann Greenlee and her husband, Michael, all of Cochranton; a son-in-law, Al Boyles of Cochranton; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Warrington of Cochranton; a brother, Leonard Burk and his wife, Donna, of Cochranton; a sister, Isabelle Shay of Rocky Grove; 11 grandchildren, Chris Lepley of Cochranton, Sam Lepley and his wife, Jodi, of Cooperstown, Carla Eakin and her husband, Richard Eakin Jr., of Cochranton, Jolene Neff of Meadville, Erin Surmaceviz and her husband, Justin, of Lisbon, Ohio, Greg Lepley and his special friend, Margo Halfhill, of Meadville, Trevor Lepley and his fiancee, Ingrid Girardi, of Cochranton, Brandon Lepley of Cochranton, Keith Lepley and his wife, Monica, of Cochranton, Casey Greenlee of Cochranton, and Colton Greenlee of Cochranton; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lucy Lepley was preceded in death by a son, William Lepley Jr.; a daughter, Laura Boyles; five brothers, Sherman Burk, Glenn Burk, Clifford Burk, John (Jack) Burk and Dan Burk; and four sisters, Margaretta Crawford, Eva Reynolds, Esther Schell and Helen McCarty.
Family and friends will be received at Gardinier Funeral Home Inc., 1315 Chestnut St., Franklin, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral will be held on at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home, with Sonja Shirley, pastor of Mt. Joy Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Peters Cemetery.
