JAMES H. BURR
Postmaster at Steamburg, For 28 Years General Store Proprietor, Dies Suddenly at His Home.
STEAMBURG, N. Y., Oct 20,—Postmaster James H. Burr died suddenly this morning at 8:45 o'clock at his home, aged 62 years. He was at the general merchandise store which he had conducted for 28 years as usual on Monday, but suffered a heart attack during the night.
Mr. Burr is survived by his widow, Mrs. Edna Burr; three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Cain of Quaker Bridge; Mrs. Lovisa Lockwood and Mrs. Odessa Arrance; a son, Leland Burr, all of Steamburg, and a sister, Mrs. Fred Klock of Randolph.
Mr. Burr was born at Cold Spring, June 14, 1869, and was well known in the community which he had made his lifelong residence.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p. m. at the Union church at Steamburg, with interment in the Steamburg cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
