Funeral Services celebrating the life of Mrs. Agnes Dowden Gilcrease were Tuesday, October 23, 2012, in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria, the Reverend Linda Clark officiated. Interment followed in Fellowship Cemetery, Hineston.
Mrs. Gilcrease, 94, of Natchitoches, formerly of Cotile Lake, passed from this life Sunday, October 21, 2012, at the Courtyard of Natchitoches. She was a former member of Sieper United Methodist Church and a past member of the Cotile Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
Mrs. Gilcrease is preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Gilcrease; son, Roy Gilcrease; parents, William C. and Elizabeth Masters Dowden; brothers, Willard Dowden, Monroe Dowden, J.C. Dowden and Clarence Dowden and sisters, Bessie Dowden McKinney, Cora Dowden, Ada Dowden James, Betty Dowden Edwards and Winnie Pearl Dowden.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter and son-in-law; two sons and daughters-in-law; one sister and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
A special heartfelt thank you to the staff of the Courtyard of Natchitoches and the Hospice of Natchitoches.
