Carolina Kutch, b. 1809, d. Jan. 12, 1881, the dau. of John Kutch b. Nov. 3, 1786 and Elizabeth (Cane) Kutch, and a granddaughter of Tilford and Anna (Prussia) Kutch. Tilford Kutch was a soldier in the Rev War. Married (4-3) David Wright b. Nov. 16, 1806 in Utica, Ind., d. Mar. 20, 1895, near Harrodsburg, Ind. He was the son of James Wright, b. Dec. 16, 1781 and Elizabeth (Sears) Wright, a grandson of Benjamin and Barbara (Morgan) Wright and a great grandson of Richard and Ann Wright. They was married on Sept. 14, 1827 David owned a good farm joining his father's farm. He owned and operated a grain mill on his farm near where Victor, Ind. is now. He was a well proportioned man, tall, blue eyes fair complexioned. On one Christmas day he was to have a fox chase. His children and their families were there; after dinner was over the men held their dogs. David turned the fox loose, the chase started but the fox got away. It was fine sport in those days. Caroline was a doctor and was very helpful in the early settlement. She also wove the cloth to make her children's clothing. She worked at night by candle light which she made out of sheep tallow. David helped build South Union Christian Church. He and family were members of that church. David and Caroline and many relatives are buried in the South Union cemetery. David played the violin and loved to sing old hymns. One I remember so well was "WHEN SHALL I SEE JESUS". David and Caroline were loved by their many friends and neighbors for their cheerfulness, kind words and kind deeds to others.
