Lichtenwalter, JOANNA "JO", 85 an Oak Cliff resident for many years was born June 16, 1917 in Findlay, Illinois, she graduated to eternal life January 6, 2003 in Dallas, Texas.

She served 16 years as secretary at Southwood United Methodist Church, also as secretary to the superintendent at Grand Prairie I.S.D., she was awarded Woman of the Year for the ABWA. Most of all "she was the Best Mother" with a great sense of humor that we will all miss very much. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken and son, Rick Lichtenwalter.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 9, 2003 at Kessler Park United Methodist Church, 1215 Turner Ave., Dallas with Rev. Tim McLemore, officiating. Interment will follow at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Dallas.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Sunshine Methodist Home, 1111 Herring Ave., Waco, Texas 76708. West / Hurtt Funeral Home 217 S. Hampton Road DeSoto (972) 223-6314 www.legacy.com
