After Elizabeth died in Giles Co., TN in 1863, William appears to have married a woman named "Allis" who had three children of her own. In the 1870 census, he is listed with her and her three children, and the children all have the last name Inman. The youngest one was 11 years old, though, so unless he was fathering these children while his first wife was still alive, they were not biologically his contrary to numerous family files you'll see on the web.
By 1880 William had moved to Barry Co., Missouri and is living next to his son Luke. At this point William is married to a woman named "Adalid K." who is 20 years his junior.
I would like to thank D. Marbut whose efforts with the Calton Cemetery on the Barry Co., MO Rootsweb site helped me locate his grave.

NOTE: The above research referencing the 1850-60-70-80 censuses is correct for William. Further research gives absolutely NO clue as to either of his parents ever being in Georgia. Both William and Elizabeth (his parents) were listed between 1800-1810 as having lived in Newberry, SC. It is likely that William really didn’t know where he was born! :)
