"Ethel Shaylor, 87, of Troy RD1, died February 7, 1987 at Troy Community Hospital. Born March 5, 1899 in Mainesburg, PA, she was the daughter of Elmer and Florence (Tears) Shaw. She was a member of the Sylvania Presbyterian Church. She was a buyer for Iszard’s Department Store in Elmira for 25 years. She is survived by a son and daughter, LeRoy and Concetta Heib of Millerton RD3; a daughter-in-law, Catherine Heib of Painted Post, NY; grandchildren, Linda Manley of Gillett; Jan VanGorden of Horseheads, NY; Mary York of Germany; J. Michael Heib of Aspen, CO and Painted Post, NY; Martin J. Heib of Burlington, VT; Daniel P. Heib of Victor, NY; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by a son, John E. Heib in 1981 and brothers, Archie Shaw and Oscar Shaw. Funeral services were held at the Vickery Funeral Home in Troy on February 6 with Rev. Jo Serchak officiating and burial to be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Troy."
