Edina, Mo., Feb. 26. — Robert M. Vandiver, 88, of Hurdland died Sunday night at 7:30 after a short illness.
Funeral services will he held Wednesday afternoon at 2 in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral home here. The Rev. Allen Vancil of Edina and the Rev. R. L. Hester of Brashear will officiate. Entombment will be in Linville mausoleum at Edina.
Mr. Vandiver was born Oct. 7, 1874, in Knox county, a son of Jasper and Fleckner Smith Vandiver. He was married to Myrtle Trout, at La Plata May 7, 1899. They lived on a farm southeast of Edina until they moved to Hurdland 11 years ago. He was a member of the Presbyterian church.
Surviving are the widow: three daughters, Mrs. Luther (Jule) Dougherty of Moberly, Mrs. Talmade [sic] (Helen) Taylor of Edina and Mrs. Edward (Pearl) Hauptmann of Mt, Ayr, Ia.; a sister, Mrs. Eva Murray of Edina; two brother, S. H. of Spokane, Wash., and Willis, of San Francisco; one grandson, and three great-grand-children. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Jim, Bert and Perry Vandiver, and four sisters, Mrs. Jessie Billings, Mrs. Alice Emmons, Mrs. Angie Millsap and Stella Vandiver, who died at the age of three.

Robert Vandiver Retired Farmer of Hurdland Died Sunday Evening
Robert Morton Vandiver, or "Bob" Vandiver as he was known, a retired farmer and a native and life-long resident of Knox County who had lived in Hurdland the last 14 years, died about 7:30 Sunday evening, Feb. 24, 1963, after a short illness. He was 88 years old.
Funeral services were at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home here with the Rev. Alen [sic] Vancil of Edina and the Rev. R. L. Hester of Brashear officiating Entombment was in the Linville Mausoleum at Edina.
Surviving are his wife and three daughters, Helen, Mrs. Talmadge Taylor, of Edina, Jewell, Mrs. Luther Daugherty, of Moberly, and Pearl, Mrs. Edward Hauptmann, of Mt. Ayr, Iowa. Also surviving are a grandson, Elwood Daugherty, and three great-grandchildren, Kerry, Kevin and Kelly Daugherty, all of Moberly, and two brothers, S. H. Vandiver of Spokane, Wash., and Willis Vandiver of San Francisco, Calif., and a sister, Mrs. Eva Murray, of Edina. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.

He was married to Myrtle Troutt at La Plata May 7, 1899, and they went to housekeeping on a farm in Knox County and have lived in this county during their entire married life except for one year in Montana and six years at Queen City. They resided for thirty years on a farm southeast of Edina and moved to Hurdland in October of 1948. They observed their sixty-third wedding anniversary May 7, 1962, with members of their family at their home in Hurdland.
His parents, three brothers, Jim, Bert and Perry Vandiver, and four sisters, Jessie Billings, Alice Emmons, Angie Millsap and Stella Vandiver, who died at the age of three, preceded him in death.
He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
