Agnes is the daughter of William and Mary Anderson. She married William Whitcomb, Nov. 17, 1851 in Defiance (Defiance Co.), OH. Family rumor said that she lived with William Travis and that they shared several sons, but no marriage records can be located to support this.
Agnes (Anderson) Whitcomb and William Whitcomb had 3 children: Cornelia (Whitcomb) Apple, Martha Whitcomb, and Adam Martin Whitcomb. William died before 1870 and is buried in the Cromley Cemetery in Defiance, OH.
Agnes then married John Heim on July 14, 1870 in Defiance, OH. This union produced no children. While all of Agnes' children were on their own by 1880, 5 of John's children were still living with them (by this time they had migrated to Ferry (Oceana Co.), MI).
Agnes and John were first Methodist and then turned to the Baptist faith. They lived in Oceana Co., MI after 1872. Both died in Ferry, MI and both are buried in the Ferry Cemetery.
