Mary Belle 'Lue' Marshall Barnes was born in Kentucky and was the daughter of Lewis(Louis)and Elizabeth Miller Marshall. She married Lafayette Barnes November 27, 1881. She was the mother of seven children. She was the mother of Thomas Allen Barnes and grandmother of Frances Barnes Cook, Leslie Barnes and Myron Dale Barnes.
Obituary states: The body was taken to the Thomas Funeral Home and on Sunday evening was returned to the residence. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Liberty Baptist Church, with burial in Forks of the Creek Cemetery.
