She died peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was a daughter of Hugh and Mira Tefft Austin. Ruth and Ken owned and operated the family diary and sheep farm for 58 years. They exhibited Shropshire, Rambouillet and Dorset sheep nationally and received many championship awards. Ruth was a devoted wife and mother; a 4-H leader, a bookkeeper for the farm and the sheep show at the Troy Fair and enjoyed gardening, sewing and reading. She was a member of the Nichols united Methodist Church.

She was survived by her devoted husband of 59 years. Kenneth T. Moore, Sr.; her sons and daughters-in-law; Kenneth T. Jr. and Lorrie Moore, and Robert Sr. and Nancy Moore; daughters and sons-in-law; Doris Powell and Greg Strausbaugh, Kathleen and Barry Bowen, all of Windham; her sisters and brother-in-law; Mrs. Edith Johnson of Windham and Ft. Myers, Fla., Florence Austin of Windham and Marjorie and Chauncey Hottenstein, Dushore; brothers and sisters-in-law; Lewis and Connie Austin, Ulster, and Frank and Iva Austin of Jacksonville, Fla.; her grandchildren; Glenn Moore of Towanda, Gary Moore of Athens, Lee Moore of Towanda, Branda Zajac of Windham, Ronald Moore of Rome, Kendra Moore of Windham, Robert Moore Jr., of LeRaysville Dena Sutton of Towanda, Karmie Brown of Waverly, Richard Powel, Geoffrey Powell, Karrie Ann Bowen and Brian Bowen, all from Windham; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a special friend, Glenda Moore.
