Edward Eugene "Gene" Henderson, age 78, of Vale, died on Friday, October 12, 2012.
His funeral service will be 3:30 pm on Monday, October 15, 2012 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Norris Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Henderson was born May 30, 1934 in Cherokee County, SC to the late Clinton and Alice Turner Henderson. He worked in furniture manufacturing.
He is survived by his wife, Hettie Moore Henderson of the home; two sons, Bobby Henderson of Lincolnton and Billy Henderson of Vale; two daughters, Barbara H. Godfrey of Cherryville and Elizabeth H. Biggerstaff of Maiden; four brothers, Hoyle Henderson, James Henderson, and Levon Henderson, all of Vale, and Alfred Henderson of Lincolnton; two sisters, Verlene Johnson of Lincolnton and Alene Rudisill of Denver; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
