Mrs. Alma Rayburn Slinker, dau of the late John Rayburn and Emma Curry Rayburn was born 9 Nov 1910 in Green Co., Ky., and departed this life 27 Feb [1979] at the Greenview Hospital in Bowling Green. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Houk's Chapel United Methodist Church. She was united in marriage 13 Apr 1929 to Bradley Slinker, who survives. One sister, Mrs. Georgia Patterson, of Greensburg; survives. Also surviving is 1 niece: Mrs. Betsy Patterson Melton of Valley Station; and 2 great nephews: John Todd Melton and Rodney Eugene Melton, both of Valley Station. Funeral services were conducted at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, Thurs 1 Mar at 2 pm by Rev. Curtis Warf. Burial was in the Pierce Community Cem. Pallbearers were Paul Melton, Roy Curry, Ray Slinker, Steve Slinker, Bronston Warf, and Morrison Curry.
