Ena Frances was the seventh of the eleven children of John Houston Kellums and Mattie Eugenia (Parrish) Kellums. Her parents were the first settlers in the Caldwell-Lyman area. She grew up and received her education in the Caldwell and kiowa schools near Lyman. She wed Harvey Richard Lippincott on October 30, 1921 in Gering, Scottsbluff Co., Nebraska. To this union were born two children, H. R. L., Jr. "Dick", and Dale Laverne Lippincott. Ena and Harv were divorced in the mid-1930s and she and the boys briefly lived in Greeley, Colorado and then in Curtis, Nebraska where the boys attended the Nebraska Agricultural High School. Dale died of a sports injury in 1940 and Dick went to farm in Buffalo County after his graduation. Ena returned to western Nebraska and wed Franz Wolski in December of 1943. After Franz's death in 1977 she wed her former brother-in-law, James L. Lippincott on June 16, 1987. She was a member of the Homesteader's Club and the Order of the Eastern Star.
