Nola was the daughter of Pinkney Clinton & Lydia Jane Sprinkle Crawford, and the wife of James Daniel Roberts, who preceded her in death by less than two months.

She was a native of Madison County but had lived in Buncombe County most of her life.

Nola was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Vance Chapter 285, and a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church.

At the time of her death she was survived by three sons; a sister, Dora Miller of Canton; a brother, Herman Crawford of Asheville; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Her funeral was held on Monday, November 29, 1982 at Locust Grove Baptist Church.

Burial: Church Cemetery.
