Don was the son of James Daniel & Nola Crawford Roberts.
He was retired from Roberts Auto Sales, where he was a co-owner and salesman.
He was a veteran of the US Navy, and a member of First Baptist Church, Weaverville. He was also a Mason, a member of Vance Lodge No. 293 AF & AM, and an honorary member of Bald Creek Masonic Lodge.
Don was survived by a daughter and son-in-law; a son and daughter-in-law; three grandchildren; and two brothers and their families.
Funeral services: Thursday, June 13, 2002, Locust Grove Baptist Church.
Burial: Locust Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, with graveside rites conducted by Vance Masonic Lodge.
