Wilbur owned and operated Altimus School Bus Lines for Armagh and United Schools from 1945 to 1969. He was also a salesman for Better Tire Service, Johnstown, for thirty years. He was a member of Germany United Methodist Church; Lodge 355, Blairsville; Coudersport Consistory, Valley of Coudersport; Westmoreland Forest 77, Tall Cedars of Lebanon; and William Penn Grange 1730, Armagh. He died in Lee Hospital, Johnstown, PA and was buried in Blairsville Cemetery.
