Wilbur was married to Elma Mack by Rev. Parker W. Large (Indiana Co. marriage license vol. 45, p. 419). In 1972 Wilbur was living at RD 1, Seward, PA.

Wilbur owned and operated Altimus School Bus Lines for Armagh and United Schools from 1945 to 1969. He was also a salesman for Better Tire Service, Johnstown, for thirty years. He was a member of Germany United Methodist Church; Lodge 355, Blairsville; Coudersport Consistory, Valley of Coudersport; Westmoreland Forest 77, Tall Cedars of Lebanon; and William Penn Grange 1730, Armagh. He died in Lee Hospital, Johnstown, PA and was buried in Blairsville Cemetery.
