She died of natural causes at her daughter's home.
She was a daughter of George and Mary Ambrose Krasnisky.
Emily was a 1937 graduate of Mahanoy City High School and Philadelphia Beauty School. She ran a successful hair salon for more than 30 years and worked as a cocktail waitress at Mahanoy City Elks. Upon retirement, she and her husband moved to the San Francisco Bay area to be near their children.
They had two children, Barbara, wife of Bryan Kowalskie, Mahanoy City, and the late Dennis, husband of Kathy Benedict, Pottsville; two grandchildren, Eric Kowalskie and Jeffrey Berdosh; and three great-grandchildren, Xylia and Anaya Kowalskie and Leah Berdosh, all of Northern California.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Sielkus, Eleanor O'Hara and Aldona Lahutsky; and brothers, Joseph, George and William Krasnisky.
