Mrs. Jessie Wiggins, 94, of 290 5th Street NW, Carrollton, died December 29 in her home following a one-year illness. Born December 20, 1888 in Salineville, she was a daughter of the Samuel and Martha (Smith) Toban and had resided in Scroggsfield for 50 years. She had been a Carrollton resident the past 23 years and was a member of Harsh Memorial United Methodist Church in Harlem Springs. On March 23, 1909, she married George J. Wiggins, who died June 16, 1967. She also was preceded in death by two infant sons, a daughter, two brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include a son and three daughters, Harold G. of New Philadelphia, Mrs. Andrew (Dorothy) Kovach of Louisville, Mrs. Robert (Hazel) Knox of Harlem Springs and Mrs. John (Doris) Shipman of Canton; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Services were held Saturday in Allmon-Dugger Funeral Home with Rev. Clarke Hogue III officiating. Burial was in Westview cemetery in Carrollton.
