Funeral services for Miss Bonita Holstead, 12 year old daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Allen Holstead, who died Friday afternoon following an operation at Mayo Brothers, at Rochester, Minnesota, were held here Tuesday morning at 10:30 o'clock in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Holstead on Durden avenue, with the Reverend Mr. Stephenson and the Reverend S.E. McFadden conducting the services. Interment will take place at Greenwood cemetery.
Bonita was taken to Mayo Broters in Rochester the first of July to undergo two major operations, the first proving successful. She underwent the second and up until Wednesday, August 15th, was thought to be improving, when late Wednesday she made a turn for the worst, death, coming at 2:30 Friday afternoon.
The little friends of Miss Bonita and of the family, are extending their deepest sympathy for her grief strcken parents.
Active pallbearers, were r.H. Brooks, Charles Goyne, M.M. Roberson, H. L. Slaton, S.W. Colvin, and Bill Huey. Honorary pallbearers are: The Rev. E.L. Turner, A.D. Gregory, Sanders Baskin, L.W. Jones, Van Chandler, Grady Williams, E. Ledbetter, Hartwell Riser and Glen Taylor.
