J. Q. Adams, Retired Farmer, Dies at 93

Funeral services for John Quincy Adams, 93, Route 1, Rockfield, a retired farmer, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at J.C. Kirby Funeral Chapel, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. He died at 6:10 p.m. yesterday at City-County Hospital following a lengthy illness.

He was a native of the Hadley community of Warren County, a son of Samuel and Frances Burris Adams and a member of the Old Gasper Baptist Church.

His wife, the former Miss Mable Hicks, died in 1953.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. C.O. Smith, Route 1, Rockfield, two sisters, Mrs. Nan Ellis, city, and Mrs. Elizabeth Server, Indianapolis, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The body is at the funeral home.
