Mrs. Mattie Hays
Mrs. Mattie Hays, 44 years old, died this morning at 2 o'clock at her home in Browning this county. Death was due to cancer. funeral service and burial will be at Highland Church, conducted by the Rev. R.B. Thompson. Mrs. Hays is a daughter of F.B. Adams and wife, deceased. She is survived by her husband, Herschel Hays, two daughters, Miss Merle, aged 14, and Edith, aged 8, also two sisters, Mrs. W.T. Ellis, Browning, and Mrs. Lizzie Jones of Bowling Green, and five brothers, J.Q. Adams, Brown, W.R., Harry, and James Adams, all of whom reside in Texas. Mrs. Hays was a member of the Christian church. The burial is in charge of Tom Ellis, Hadley.
